Anna ignores them. Because quite honestly, it’s not worth it to say “no, you idiot, do you not actually read my blog and know that I’m both aware of what’s going on around me and not a complete moron?”. Especially annoying is when the comment addresses something I either expressly state in the post (didn’t read the post) or on my website (didn’t actually look at my website). But being mean to people who are essentially either dumb or not paying attention doesn’t win you any friends.

I apologize, but I feel compelled to mention that the whole “Llama problem” thing has lead to a certain Emperor Cuzco popping into my head to say, “yay, I’m a llama again! …wait.”

Very well said though. I never know how to treat those sorts of comments. Do you say, “thanks, but I’ve got it covered”, do you say, “well, I’m doing it this way and I don’t give a flying flip about you and your comment”, do you just ignore them and hope they go away? I generally ignore them, because the last thing I want is a flame war in blog comments. What would Anna do?
